Frequently asked questions

Most ERCP procedures are completed in a single session lasting 30–90 minutes, and you are typically observed for 4–6 hours afterward. If no complications arise, you can be discharged the same day or after one night in hospital. We recommend staying in the country for at least 3–4 days to allow for pre-procedure assessment, the procedure itself, and a post-procedure follow-up visit before you fly home. Complex cases involving stent placement or stone removal may require a 5–7 day stay.
