The centre holds a landmark place in history as the birthplace of South India's first IVF baby on 5 December 1988. Over five decades of continuous operation, Gunasheela has treated more than 272,000 infertile couples, delivered over 40,000 babies, and trained 250+ doctors and 100+ embryologists. Its state-of-the-art embryology, andrology, and genomics laboratories support IVF, ICSI, IUI, blastocyst transfer, PGT-A genetic screening, and fertility preservation, with IVF success rates of 55–60%.
