Clinical Partnership Standards
Last updated: 1 May 2026
The following standards define the minimum requirements that every institution must meet and maintain to become and remain a CureSureMedico partner. These requirements exist to protect patients and to ensure that every referral we make leads to genuinely world-class care.
1. International Accreditation
All partner institutions must hold active accreditation from at least one of the following recognised bodies: Joint Commission International (JCI), the Accreditation Canada International (ACI), the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI), or an equivalent national body recognised by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
Accreditation must be current and verifiable at the time of partnership application and must be renewed in line with the issuing body's schedule. CureSureMedico reserves the right to suspend a partnership pending renewal or following any accreditation downgrade.
2. Clinical Outcomes & Safety
Partner institutions are required to provide audited clinical outcome data for the specialities in which they wish to receive patient referrals. This includes, but is not limited to, procedure-specific mortality rates, complication rates, readmission rates within 30 days, and infection control metrics.
Institutions must demonstrate a patient safety culture consistent with the World Health Organization Patient Safety Framework. A documented incident-reporting system and a root-cause analysis process must be in place and made available to CureSureMedico reviewers upon request.
3. Specialist Credentials
Every specialist receiving CureSureMedico referrals must hold a board certification or equivalent qualification recognised in the country of practice. Proof of continued medical education (CME) equivalent to a minimum of 50 hours per year must be maintained and documented.
Specialists involved in complex or high-risk procedures (oncology, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery) must additionally demonstrate a minimum case volume as defined in our Specialty-Specific Addenda, available upon request from our clinical team.
4. International Patient Services
Partner institutions must maintain a dedicated international patient services unit staffed by personnel with proficiency in English and at least one additional language relevant to the patient populations served. A medical interpreter service, whether in-person or via a certified remote platform, must be available around the clock.
Institutions must be able to provide pre-arrival consultations, treatment cost estimates in writing within five business days of enquiry, and a single point of contact assigned to each CureSureMedico patient throughout the care episode.
5. Data Privacy & Medical Records
All patient data handled by partner institutions in connection with CureSureMedico referrals must be processed in compliance with the applicable data protection legislation of the institution's country of operation, and with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where European patients are involved.
Medical records must be made available in a structured, interoperable digital format (HL7 FHIR or equivalent) within 72 hours of patient discharge to enable continuity of care upon return to the patient's home country. Institutions are prohibited from sharing patient data with third parties without explicit written patient consent.
6. Ethical & Commercial Standards
CureSureMedico does not partner with institutions that engage in unsolicited direct marketing to patients, that charge facilitation fees beyond the published treatment cost, or that operate under any arrangement that may create a conflict of interest in clinical decision-making.
Partner institutions must agree to CureSureMedico's Code of Conduct, which prohibits patient brokering, price discrimination based on nationality, and any form of inducement offered to referring physicians or patient advocates.
7. Ongoing Review
Partnerships are reviewed annually. CureSureMedico conducts both scheduled and unannounced quality assessments, which may include on-site visits, patient satisfaction surveys, and review of clinical outcome data. Failure to meet any standard defined in this document may result in suspension or termination of the partnership.
Standards are updated periodically to reflect advances in clinical evidence and international best practice. Partner institutions will be notified of material changes with a minimum of 90 days' notice prior to the changes taking effect.
