Dr. Sharan Shivaraj Patil is the Chairman and Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon of SPARSH Hospital, which he founded in Bangalore in 2006. With 34 years of experience and over 15,000 surgeries including 8,000+ joint replacements, he holds an FRCS and MCh from the University of Liverpool — where he was the youngest MCh graduate since the course began in 1926 — and a Gold Medal MS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. He served as President of the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons (2023–2024) and is a recipient of the Kannada Rajyotsava Award (2007), Aryabhata Award (2008), and Padma Bhushan Dr. M.C. Modi Service Award (2010).
