CAR-T (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell) therapy is a revolutionary form of personalised cancer immunotherapy in which a patient's own T-cells are genetically engineered to identify and destroy cancer cells with precision. Approved for certain blood cancers — including relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphomas, acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), and multiple myeloma — CAR-T has achieved remission in patients who failed all prior therapies. China is a world leader in CAR-T innovation with domestically approved products (Relma-cel, Yescarta/Fosun Kite) at a fraction of US costs. India offers the homegrown NexCAR19 product at around $50,000 — one-tenth of the US price — through JCI-accredited centres including Christian Medical College Vellore.

CAR-T is currently approved for relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma (including DLBCL), follicular lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma, B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), and multiple myeloma after prior lines of therapy. Eligibility depends on your specific cancer subtype, prior treatment history, molecular markers (e.g., CD19, BCMA expression), and performance status.
